Grant Tromp left school with the clear intention of becoming a builder. After completing an apprenticeship and trade certificate, Grant started out on his own designing and building challenging projects.

Knowing design and build were closely linked, he developped the capacity to imagine, design and construct concepts many times over before taking pencil to paper.

This process blueprints each stage of constructionin in 3D , layering the entire project in the mind thus identifiying possible problems 4 and 5 moves down the track. At the same time it calulates the project's time duration.

More recently commercial and private recording studios have become passion places for design and build projects. Now starting an innovative project in Tutukaka, Pacific Coast off Whangarei Northland New Zealand.

ToePrint Project encompasses all the knowledge and passion gained over the years into this home focusing on natural elements used as the base ingredient mixed with current technology to produce a sustainable building to stand as a type and model for now and on into the future,

The goal is to create a toeprint as opposed to leaving a footprint.
